Looks like many usable and fun ideas If it doesn't turn out to be the case, I'll update in a few months. I purchased this book to try and get some ideas for fun and interesting activities that I could engage my daughter in so that she could learn at the same time.

I was really excited about getting this book because I have found that I have run out of ideas fairly quickly. After receiving and reviewing this book, I found that, though there are a lot of fun activities listed, none were all that appropriate for my 18 month old. I think that this book will be a great resource as she gets older, and I try and modify activities for her learning level. However, I would probably recommend that those considering purchasing this book, make sure that you are purchasing it for kids who are 3 and older.

It's such a clever book filled with fun ideas to do with ur little ones and lots are at home things you can do so ur not going out spending money I love it!!!

I browse thru the book then write the date on the page we did that and how old my little one was at the time so great! One person found this helpful. This book is ok. I was looking for something that would give me out of the box ideas for things to do with my toddler. It didn't really do that. I kind of already knew most of the things. Can I do this 25 times in a row?

Games Smart Toddlers Play: Creative Time to Imagine, Grow and Learn by Sheila Ellison

This book had a lot of cheap in hand games setup was relatively simple and games were easily augmented. My kids who we I took a star off because this book works just fine for dumb kids as well. My kids who were smart enough to use this book enjoyed the games and fit our attentions spans. There are a bit of the games that seem well known ideas or perhaps just boring.

A majority were fresh ideas. One of our favorites was getting a laundry basket full of stuffed animals and taking turns hiding them in a room and finding them.

See a Problem?

Another was not a game but a great idea of putting a little shelf up for each child to put their own things on just for them. The book explained it better. But the kids love their little shadow boxes we put up for them. A good read, with great ideas. I had other issues with recycled ideas and not just the title, so 4 stars. Dec 30, Megan rated it liked it. I read this digitally and sadly lost all my bookmarks. One idea I loved was to create an office box. As a working mom I never thought to create play where my daughter could emulate me. Old cells a keyboard.

Other work type stuff. Also I liked the idea of a random act of kindness jar to write down times you catch your child being kind. I picked this up looking for some fresh new ideas for my class, but found mostly ideas that are only new if you've never seen children play. Some good ideas, but I think the title is misleading. There are some duplicate ideas in different sections of the book, and quite a few of the "Games" are parenting tips, not activities. Still, I made a list of quite a few activities I will try to do sometime in the future with my son.

Feb 03, Yeedle rated it liked it. A creative book, but most of the ideas can be find online with the help of the Internet God. The drawings though is something you won't see anywhere online. So if you can get it from a library, it's a good resource. But to buy it is a waste of money. Jan 12, Stephanie rated it it was ok.
