Just my opinion, and I realize not all wear the same size shoes. One of my favorite;s in his written word is "The Walking Drum", for it took me to places I have never been, and to some I had never even heard of, but three other of his fan's found it boring,. One person found this helpful.

It is always a pleasure to read a western by Louis L'Amour. He is the only western author that I read I don't purchase from another author and would not consider it. I would've liked more stories with Chick Bowrie and Lonigan. Thank you for stocking all his books I used to have them in paperback - I had a collection but now I do enjoy it on a Kindle. I look forward to more books by this author.

L'Amour's style and success speaks for itself. I probably would not finish it if I did not like the stories. But put it down and forget it.

Not so with this author's books. His ground work has benefited in that I have learned some points of history not covered in school curriculum. The Outlaws of Mesquite: Stories (): Louis L'Amour: Books

Always good stories and style. There is something special about L'Amour's short stories. Delightful tidbits which are very complete but leave one wishing for more. Drama set into everyday life of men and women in the West. The language of dirty words is nonexistent. The stories are based on real life geography. Don't know how it could be better. Loius L'Amour is one of my favorite western writers. He paints a vivid picture of the terrain and makes you feel as if you were living the tale. Great action from a real life character.

I loved every story and take. I highly recommend this book to others interested in the old west.
