That will make such like dragon fights pretty much impossible will it not? Sure it could be done in Vanilla but Skyrim I don't see how you could really advance anywhere in the game without fighting. Does this mean you won't put more than 1 perk point into any tree until all the others have 1 point in them? Or can you put 1 point in Archery at the start, then the next point in Speech, then next level up do another point of Archery?

I'm thinking if avoiding the fight is impossible, then the bard should go for it because basically Skyrim is like an action-rpg where you have to kill things to play. Maybe this rule could be limited to avoid fighting with "sentient beings" NPCs, dragon priests, dragons and mindless enemies can be fought when the quest requires you to. The second rule is like your latter description.

It just means that you can't put perk points into the same skill at each consequent level-up so you can perk up two skills alternatively.

Of course then according to the other rule you have to reach 25, 50, 75 and for all the others to spend perks so you are basically forbidden from specializing and getting OP: What about monsters in the wilderness and such? Just completely avoid them and run? I think you'll be really limiting how you can grow your combat skills if you purposely avoid alot of combat won't you? I like the idea of spreading perk points like this. I am a big fan of being able to wear multiple hats and I'm also not a fan of heavy armor or 2h weapons: From a RP perspective, a bard should not need to go out in the wild and fight animals to grow in skills.

By installing "become a bard", some money can be earned and spent for trainers for the first levels at least. Please note that I am deliberately trying to make things difficult. I would play Diablo 3 if I wanted such an experience: So are you going to adjust the game settings so you can buy more than 5 levels in training per level? Not to mention they have good will saves anyway. If anything, it's a pretty weak feat unless you're playing a really undead-focused campaign and even then hardly overpowered. Personally, my homebrew bard has music effects at will, and a creature that saves against one is immune for a day.
