Oct 21, Ibjoy Hannabass rated it it was amazing. My Thoughts On Part Three By this time, I am just as anxious as Meredith is and my heart goes out to her as the time for her delivery draws closer. She is really trying to live life again, but missing Luke makes it almost impossible. But then there is Jonah, they new guy in town. My Overall Review…… This is a really good series to read.
And each book is short and only takes a few hours. So if you are one of tho My Thoughts On Part Three By this time, I am just as anxious as Meredith is and my heart goes out to her as the time for her delivery draws closer. You will have six short books and can read when you can and how much you want. I really liked Meredith and Luke, and was sad when he was beaten beyond recognition.
But Jonah was a different story. I did feel bad for Jonah though when his wedding was canceled at the last minute and he lost the girl he had loved for years. Other characters I enjoyed were the nurses at the hospital and the family that took Luke in after he got out of rehab. If you enjoy Amish fiction, this is a series you will love.

The opinions I have expressed are my own. May 04, Linda Branich rated it it was amazing Shelves: In this third book of this series, "Eddie" Luke remains in the hospital in a coma. Merrie experiences preterm labor, and she and Eddie's nurse, Susan, meet at a farmer's market, unaware of the connection between them.
Merrie begins to take steps to make her financial situation more secure. Even though she is still grieving, she realizes that she must begin to let go, and she sells Luke's spirited horse to a man she knew before she married. I think the theme of this book is putting pride aside t In this third book of this series, "Eddie" Luke remains in the hospital in a coma. I think the theme of this book is putting pride aside to accept help when it is offered. F;ailing to do so can have serious consequences. Merrie almost loses her baby by trying to be too independent and doing everything herself.
Merrie comes to realize that there is also a blessing for those who offer the help, as well as the receiver. She becomes friends with a lonely older widow who stays with her when her sister cannot. The relationship between the two widows is symbiotic, as Alma has no children or family in the area and the Amish community has been helping care for her.
Merrie finds it quite humbling to accept this help from family and friends, but knows it is necessary--for now. The spiritual strength of the faith of the Amish is present again in this book, but also that of the English as well. Jun 30, Loraine rated it really liked it. I remember my first visit to Lancaster County as a little girl and being fascinated by the horse drawn black buggies.
As a fan of Little House on the Prairie, it seemed like a place lost in time. These novellas were especially unique in that they were very short books that end with a cliff hanger that leads right into the next book. Originally published 6 months apart, I en I remember my first visit to Lancaster County as a little girl and being fascinated by the horse drawn black buggies.
Originally published 6 months apart, I enjoyed being able to read them as one complete novel back to back. I expect that they will probably be released as one complete novel in the future. Meanwhile in a hospital far away, Luke struggles to recover from a nearly fatal beating. However, unbeknownst to anyone, this beating has actually saved him from sure death when the bus he was supposed to be on exploded.
Though Luke struggles to come out of his coma, Meredith is coming to grips with being a young, pregnant widow. Jun 03, Elizabeth rated it it was amazing. Meredith Stoltzfus is having a really hard time after almost losing her boppli. She wants to go home and just be by herself, but she can't do that. She is hurting for Luke and what they had together. Meredith is afraid with Luke gone she will lose everything.
Her parents wants to help her out ,but they have some small children and can only do so much. Jonah Miller is a young man that came along and saved Meredith when she almost lost her bappli. Jonah and Meredith were friend a few years back. Jo Meredith Stoltzfus is having a really hard time after almost losing her boppli. Jonah wants to help meredith out all he can.. In the meantime there is "Eddie" that is in the hospital from being beaten up, and found in a bus station and still un responsive. This young lady that is a nurse to "Eddie" prays for him everyday.
Will this young man come out of his coma and be able to tell them who he is?? I worry about Jonah , I think he is starting to have feeling for Meredith. What will Meredith do?? I just love these books and when you start it you can't put it down.. Wanda has done an excellent job. Mar 05, Tammy rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: I can not keep myself from feeling like I am right there living with the characters in the book. Sometimes I find myself wanting to them things that I feel they should know, like telling Jonah that Laurie likes him just to keep Meredith away from him and telling Meredith about Luke.
I know, I know, that would ruin the series. I have to admit that I have never been one to continue reading a series tha This Discovery - A Lancaster County Saga part 3 keeps me wanting more with each book that I read. I have to admit that I have never been one to continue reading a series that I had started but you betcha that I won't miss a book in this series. I want to know what happens with Meredith and the baby and the man, "Eddie" in the hospital and to see if something sparks between Laurie and Jonah or it that whole situation will cause a ruckus between sisters.
I can not wait to start reading part 4. I am so glad that Wanda Brunstetter decided to do this series and I hope that she does more like this! Definitely another 5 star book! You can see my complete review at: Jan 03, Tonya rated it it was amazing Shelves: I love this Discovery series! I was chomping at the bit to read this one which will come out April 1st, We continue with Luke still not awake, and Meredith still thinks he is dead. No one knows he is alive, or at least not dead. Meredith is 6 months pregnant and an old flame so to speak has come onto the scene, but Meredith thinks love might be blooming between him and her sister Laurie.
Meanwhile, Luke's nurse and the sisters meet, unknowingly having this bond! When I I love this Discovery series! When I read that I was screaming inside!!! I won't give anything away, but you don't want to miss out on this series. I love the heartwarming message of God's grace and mercies are new each day. I love all the reminders Wanda tucks in each book. I received a copy of this book from netgalley in exchange for an honest opinion.
Mar 10, Samantha rated it it was ok. I was so excited to see the next 3 novella's of this series up on NetGalley this weekend, I devoured them in the space of a day and am now chomping at the bit for the final installment! This particular installment had me literally screaming at my Kindle, Susan and Anne, the sisters caring for Luke in the hospital -known as Eddie to them Meredith and Laurie meet each other at a farmers market Again, this particular installment, whilst it was intense and wonderful, I felt it's dialogue a little over the top and certain descriptions unnecessary. May 06, Rhonda rated it really liked it. This is the third part of six part story. It is a Amish story that follows Meredith and her Luke.
It still leaves you wanting more. Eddie is still in a coma not responding to anything. His nurse really worries over him and prays for him. They don't have any idea who he is. They think he is homeless. Meredith is back to her own home, but no one wants her to stay home by herself so her sister staying with her. When Laurie works a older widow comes to stay with her. Meredith almost lost her baby and has to take it easier.
Now I will read the next part of the story. I was given this ebook to read and asked to give honest review of it by Netgalley. Aug 18, Maggie rated it liked it. In Book 3, Meredith now works part-time at home, sewing prayer coverings, as she waits for her baby to arrive. She believes her Luke is dead, and doesn't know he is in a coma in Philly. Jonah helps her often with things around the house and is there when Merrie's pregnancy develops a problem. Since they're In Book 3, Meredith now works part-time at home, sewing prayer coverings, as she waits for her baby to arrive.
Since they're such quick reads, I only had to wait a couple of days for the next one to come up available on the waiting list. Something to think about.
