    Read the first two on a camp out to my kids and though they were in the "funny stories" section, the main character in each dies and the punch lines are lame and hard to get because they're plays on words. Easy to get as a reader but hard to get as audience.

    Trust me, if you have to explain difference between 'teepee' and 'tea pee' and you will , any chuckles will be out of courtesy or pity for the storyteller rather than humor. My kids found them very lacking. Targeted at Boy Scouts almost exclusively so that may make it worth a look if you're taking a troop camping but surely there are far better camp story books available. I will say one positive thing and that is good advice in the introduction for the craft of telling tales.

Kids have so much fun with this book and the stores in it The stories are great but they are really for an older child. My 8 year old was a bit young for the stories.
