Children's Stories from Ireland. Bonkers in Ballyyahoo

First in a series of short stories for independent readers in the early elementary school grades. My first time with this series; I enjoyed the first person narration with authentic Irish dialogue and lots of laughs. Our narrator's cousin, Kevin, lives in a tiny Galway village and is always bored. The residents of Ballyyahoo are constantly putting up with his hijinks like releasing spiders and hiding plastic cockroaches.

When the police bring him home, he is grounded for weeks. Kevin pretends to First in a series of short stories for independent readers in the early elementary school grades. Kevin pretends to change; he is rewarded with a computer. I won't spoil the surprise, but Kevin uses that computer to release more havoc on the village.

Again he is punished severely, but the incorrigible Kevin has even bigger plans for the next adventure in Ballyyahoo. Well written, lots of fun and lots of laughs. Readers in the seven to ten age range will love Kevin. Parents and teachers won't be able to hide their smiles.
