A student on probation may not apply for graduation. Academic Suspension Undergraduate Students previously on academic probation who fail to achieve the minimum cumulative grade point average for their classification, or not continued on probation as just described, are placed on academic suspension.
When the suspension period has expired for suspended students, their status upon enrolling is academic recovery. They may not enroll without completing a Suspension Recovery Contract, which is available in the Office of Undergraduate Studies. It is not possible for students on academic suspension to shorten the suspension period by submitting work early that has been completed at another institution during the suspension period.
For additional information please see: Protocol on Excess Hours for Undergraduate Students To avoid being charged additional tuition, you should be aware of the number of credit hours required for your degree and the limit on state-funded hours for your degree. A probation hold is placed in WebWorld for each of these students and they are sent a letter listing their requirements for the next semester. Students who need to be full-time may choose additional classes, but may not register for more than 15 semester hours. All of these students must meet with their advisors to clear these holds.
